What is this?
Anyone know what this is? My neighbor got it from his grandmother and didn't want it so I gave him $5.00! I have been trying to research it and can't find anything that resembles it!

Does it spin around when you crank the handle?

Does it also have an opening big enought to stick your hand in and but the opening also latches closed?
I think it might be for somthing like a raffel or Bingo... Any other ideas are welcome??????

No it doesn't have a latch and the spindles spaces are probably to large for a bingo ball, but thanks for the guess.

What is the size of this item? Is it all wooden? Do you see anything at the ends of the spindle to make you think it could have been used for food? If wooden, not sure if it may have been used to dry clothes haveing it spit to air dry? Or flattening skin hides from animals on a farm?

How about anything to do with weaving? Just a thought!
