Phillipine Santo, Old Testament Moses

I bought this Moses Santo in 1970 while living in Manila. The antique dealer, quite reputable and verifiable, indicated it was only the second old testament figure he had seen in all his many years of business. It was made available to me because of my heritage. Hence, my questions ... are old testament figures actually rare (possibly a travelling Jew in the 19th or early 20th century who passed away in the Philippines), and is there a value to the piece worth having it formally appraised?

No actually, the Roman Catholic Church has billions of followers with churches in every hamlet where Christianity has a foot hold. Carved figures of this type were often carved by local craftsmen, most of them undocumented. While most of the smaller examples often sell at auction for under $250.00 I'd recommend any such piece to be physically appraised.
