The WorthPoint service (the "Service") is run by WorthPoint Corporation ("WorthPoint", “WP”, "we", "us" and "our"). These Moderator terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") govern how moderators and members interact.

By becoming a moderator, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms and Conditions, understand them and agree to be bound by their terms and conditions. You acknowledge that you have read, understand, and will adhere to the terms of the Privacy Policy and will adhere to Worthpoint’s Privacy Policy when interacting with WorthPoint members.

If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions or the Privacy Policy, you should not become a moderator.

As a WorthPoint moderator you are responsible for the smooth functioning of the community you moderate. You should try to check the community at least once a day. If the community seems to be un-moderated to the degree that community members complain to WorthPoint support, your moderator position may go under review and an WorthPoint WebSite Administor may remove you as a moderator.

You will spend a large portion of your time answering the same questions over and over again and again. You will be asked all kinds of questions, and for help on many subjects - you are not expected to know the answer to everything, but you are expected to point them in the right direction to help.

Being a Worthpoint Moderator

  • You must not ignore or refuse requests for assistance
  • You should expect to arbitrate disputes over the most picayune issues
  • You must do your best to help
  • You must always keep your temper and frustration in check

Sometimes members will thank you for your assistance. More often, however, they will complain that you did not do enough to help, and they will express discontent that you did not drop everything you were doing so you could spend hours focused on the member’s issue. This is what it is like when you are a moderator. Take a deep breath, and do what you can and what is reasonable to help the member.
