What Is a “Worthologist”?
Our Worthologists are central to the ultimate success of WorthPoint and have these qualities in common:
- They have experience, expertise, and passion for antiques and collectibles.
- They are able to evaluate artifacts to determine their history, significance, and value. Keeping in mind that value can be intrinsic, monetary, or both, Worthologists strive to illuminate these details in their valuations.
- They have diverse backgrounds in a wide variety of antiques-related activities: auctioneering, appraising, publishing, teaching, consulting, and learning and collecting.
- Some are highly specialized while others are generalists with a broad knowledge base.
Our Worthologists are an integral part of the WorthPoint community. They disseminate their knowledge by writing blogs, recording podcasts, answering questions, and providing online valuations.
