WorthPoint - Director of Marketing  (McLean, VA)

WorthPoint is a new entrepreneurial company that is changing the world of collectibles. We are seeking a very energetic Director of Marketing who wants to join a dynamic growing company. A position is currently available for a results-oriented individual who will drive tactical marketing leadership at a company at the cutting edge of the online art, antiques, and collectibles space.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume primary responsibility for driving understanding of WorthPoint's current and target customer bases and drive development and execution of tactical marketing plans
  • Develop and implement marketing programs, positioning & messaging, and other collateral for new and existing consumer products
  • Prioritize and set consistent tactical direction for user acquisition, retention, and internal and external communications
  • Clearly communicate marketing tactics to senior management and to the broader organization
  • Work with the Product Management, Content, and Development teams
  • Evaluate ROI of marketing campaigns and manage to a budget

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will have five plus years experience in product marketing or marketing program management with major online consumer brands
  • Demonstrated capacity for developing and executing on marketing plans with online and offline components
  • Demonstrated experience planning and managing PPC, buzz, viral, and guerilla marketing campaigns
  • Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market
  • Experience shaping research and analysis of current and target customers
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and demonstrating ROI
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • BA/BS degree

A position is currently available for a results-oriented individual who will manage key account relationships. We are looking for a consultative and performance oriented person that can comfortably interact with VP and  “C” level executives in the art, antiques, and collectibles industries. The Account Manager will report to the
SVP of Sales.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of each area of WorthPoint product/services, in order to assemble strong recommendations for clients
  • Demonstrates knowledge of art, antiques, and collectibles industries, competition, and latest news and trends
  • Proactively finds new ways to build the client’s business and grow accounts
  • Leads day-to-day management and optimization of client relationships
  • Assists in strategy development and leads in implementation of tactics
  • Acts as primary point-of-contact for clients

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the art, antiques, and collectibles industries
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • 2+ years account management experience
  • Organized and highly motivated
  • Excellent presentation skills

WorthPoint - Internet Advertising Sales Representative (McLean, VA)

Are you a self-starter who gets what Web 2.0 can do for advertisers? Come join the team that's building *the* online resource for the world of art, antiques, and collectibles. WorthPoint is looking for upbeat, focused and well-organized individuals to join our Sales team. You must be comfortable making dozens of cold calls a day, fielding inbound inquiries, generating interest, qualifying prospects, building solutions and closing sales of $500 to $500K. You must also have demonstrated experience prospecting and growing an account list as well as closing sales. This position will be focused on originating and placing advertising on the WorthPoint website. We are fast growing, entrepreneurial, and are building the next big thing.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the entire sales process from prospecting to close
  • Lead generation/outbound calling and warm lead follow up
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits of WorthPoint and WorthPoint members
  • Be able to sell and differentiate in a competitive environment
  • Provide on-line demonstrations
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly sales quotas
  • Work closely with our developers, our developer relationship team, and with advertisers and agencies large and small

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in online advertising, social networks, and applications
  • BA/BS degree
  • Excellent communications capabilities
  • Technically proficient, familiar with MS Office and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to mange entire sales process from prospecting through close
  • Ability to manage in high activity, high transaction environment
  • Experience in closing deals in the $500-$500K range

We are looking for English language content producers (backpack journlaists) who are able to shoot video and stills, edit, and write, on a variety of topics related to art, antiques, and collectibles. This is a position shooting and writing for our website and newsletters. Content types required include short news and feature videos, special events, and how to use WorthPoint website guides. Additional tasks may include editing previously videotaped content, and posting video to the site. Good communication and people skills are very important. Knowing when to use lights and a tripod are essential.

Content producers are expected to meet the following requirements:

*Shoot and edit on a predictable schedule for a minimum of ten hours a week
* Be familiar with Final Cut or similar editing software
*Own or have excellent access to video and editing equipment. Provide list of equipment.
* Work at a location of their choosing, and have their own equipment, computer and high-speed internet access
