A rare scene. A Revoloutionary “Artilery Wife” Mary Hays McCauly a.k.a Molly Pitcher scene in this early 1900’s postcard loading the mouth of a cannon. This women’s sacrifices helped win the United States battle for independance. Mary Hays earned her name in the begining by helping the men on the battle field by bringing them pitcher after pitcher of cool spring water for the parched men.
