This past weekend was the D.C. Big Flea, a huge 2 building antique show in Chantilly, Virginia. It is a two day general antiques and collectibles show. The show’s promoters, D’more, advertise well and really get the people in the door.

Manassas Antique Market (5/26/08)
This past Saturday, May 24th, was the semi-annual Manassas Antique Market in the Harris Pavillion in Old Town Manassas, Virginia. The weather cooperated beautifully for this outdoor show. It was the first time that I had participated as a dealer in the show – and what a success.

Are Shows Still Worth the Effort? (11/3/07)
Just returned from the "D.C. Big Flea Market" at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA. This is a relatively big show held 5 weekends a year. With about 600 dealers, it really makes for a fun afternoon. Despite its name, this is anything but a flea market of tables piled with old clothes, books, and children’s toys.

2007 Great Falls Studio Tour (11/3/07)
Last Sunday I was tooling around the back roads in Great Falls, Virginia in my husband’s aging Corvette when I spotted a sign, "Great Falls Studio Tour." The local area newspaper elaborated that Great Falls Studios was having their 4th annual studio tour Oct. 19 – 21, 2007.
