<description>When I was very young, the 3 great Mexican artists, Diego Rivera, Clemente Orozco and David Sequieros were reproduced everywhere in the States. Rufino Tamayo who I have always admired was considered quite a minor painter of slices of watermelon. He was younger than the other three and time has improved his artistic standing in the world of art. Frida Kahlo is my idea of a camp follower and you can use the word &quot;camp&quot; with both its&#039; meanings. A later version of such a minor talent greatly trumpeted is Tracy Emin. Kahlo with her sex life and suffering and Emin much the same. It would be interesting to know who paid the million plus for that daub, another great talent, Madonna? That knowledgeable art collector?
When will these silly sales end? When loaves of bread cost similar sums as in pre-War Germany?
