The Round Top Antique and Collectible Show is about equidistant between Austin and Houston, Texas.
WorthPoint Corporation will be partnering with the Round Top Antique and Collectible Show, being held in Texas on Sept. 28-Oct. 6, and providing valuation experts—better known as Worthologists—on site, to provide complimentary item appraisals on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29-30.
The appraisals will be held in Warrenton, Texas, inside Historic Zapp Hall. Open to the public on either day, each participant will receive one free item appraisal from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
In addition to the one free valuation per attendee, WorthPoint will be offering a free two-week membership to the first 100 attendees to come to the WorthPoint booth. The next 100 will receive a 30-day free trial to WorthPoint’s Marks and Library, which contains more than 50,000 makers’ marks and hallmarks across all principle categories, as well as e-content from a wide range of collecting topics.
For all sellers or dealers who stop by the WorthPoint booth—located at Zapp Hall Beer Garden—will receive a free 30-day membership to the GoAntiques marketplace. GoAntiques is the oldest, most established Internet market for antiques, art and vintage collectibles. Sellers can enjoy a no-contract/no-commission model with monthly plans starting as low as $24.99.
“We are so thrilled to be able to offer free appraisal services during the first weekend of the Round Top Antique Week,” said Bobby Boyd, Round Top Organizer. “Educating customers and the public who want to become more savvy, either buying antiques or trying to sell, is key to the ensuring the success of our industry. The biggest question we get every day is ‘what’s this worth?’ WorthPoint will be a huge asset to help answer that question throughout the show.”
Round Top—or Antique Week or Antique Weekend, as some call it—is one of the largest and most unique shows in the country. Round Top began more than 30 years ago and quickly became the social event for Houston and Austin socialites every spring and fall. Located in Fayette County, Texas, Round Top is not just one show; over the years it has become a 10-day event featuring thousands of merchants and spread over four very small towns—Round Top, Warrenton, Carmine and Shelby.
“Being part of the Round Top Antique Week is really exciting for us,” said William Seippel, founder and CEO of WorthPoint. “Shows like Round Top continue to amaze us. You truly get to see firsthand how an entire community of small business owners, land owners as well as the general public come together to buy, sell, and simply have a lot of fun! We are proud to be part of this dynamic industry, and to meet all the dealers as well as buyers that make up the Round Top Shows.”
