Dazzling pottery from a Master Potter

Isidro Ortiz is well known among Mata Ortiz pottery collectors for his extraordinary colorfull blackware. He is willing to innovate and try new images as well as use the ancient Pacquime and Mimbres symbols. Isidro was mentored by his uncle, Macario Ortiz, Isidro continues to dazzle collectors with his versatility and attention to detail on multi-colored pottery. The pot is so highly burnished that the colors seem to burst out of the pot. Isidro is profiled on p. 126 of Susan Lowells book, "The Many Faces of Mata Ortiz". This eight sided pot is 5" high, 3 7/8" in diameter. A complimentary crocheted pottery ring is included with this pot.
