Best relic t are of these two Urgandan Martyrs, extremely rare relics with document and reliquary. Relics are contained in a fancy gold theca. Theca is housed in this lovely fluer-de-leave reliquary with extremely ornate filigree base standing 9" tall. Document is dated 1964, Rome.
Relics are of: St. Caroli Lwanga and St. Matthia Kalemba Mulumba.
Given the abuses that occurred with relics during the Middle Ages, the Council of Trent (in the 1500s) decreed that all relics must be accompanied by a document. Only with the document can a relic be used for public veneration. For private veneration, document is not necessary. However, if you are planning on gifting your relic at some time to your church or priest for public veneration, document is necessary.
All seals and threads are perfectly intact with matching document. Only the reliquary is for sale, the relic is a gift.

Note that the relic is the small dark area in the round or oval theca. The name of the saint is written above or below this area. Most relic particles are pinhead in size and covered with a resin or glue of some sort. Because the particle is so small, and that particle is covered with glue or resin, it is nearly impossible to see with the naked eye what the relic is without looking under a magnifying glass. Furthermore, you are looking at digital pictures that are not the best quality. Most particles look dark, some are light, but most everyone knows this information who are familiar with relics.The relics are cloth. However,some are not informed or misinformed about relics, and hopefully this information will help those who are unfamiliar with the actual relic itself.
