This is an unfolded metal frame fan called Tessen, made in Edo period. The brass frame is rare. On the frame, noble design of the sun, the moon and stars are carved beautifully; it may represent the sense of nature in Edo period. The middle part is made od bamboo: however, as this is made long ago, it is damaged and some parts are missing.
