FOR US DOMESTIC SALE ONLY In the past years have sold over ten P-D and Kadet Trainers, so you can be comfortable with this offering..... At 43inches, this is not a little kid's toy; rather a full sized replica of the 1903 US Springfield Rifle, but lighter at 5-1/2 pounds actual weight . Manufactured after WW2, by PARRIS-DUNN CORP CLARINDA, IOWA for which they were awarded the Army Navy "E" award for war production efficiency. Made from surplus military contract pieces and parts it is very much like the US Armv Victory contract version; it has a solid wooden barrel, no sights, front nor mid bands, no bayonet lug nor stacking swivel, a simulated rear sight, moveable bolt but only, and a fixed post for the trigger. The sling swivels, trigger guard, and butt plate are all retained with nails rather than screws. The steel butt plate simply states that it was made in the USA by "PARRIS-DUNN, CLARINDA, IOWA", ( prior to the formation of Parris Mfg. Co.in 1949 ) .
