Description : This a rare bronze Statue Lord buddha is seated in meditation action of AYUTTHAYA ART .
Shan influences during 17-19 Century period which was acquired while traveling to old siam. This statue was acquired on a field collector during expeditionary near thailand, Burma, Khmer and laos border.age around 100-200 years old .
Many buddha image statue was erected for a cremation of former Thai King . It found again in crypt of the stupa at many temple in uper central Thailand, when Department of Religious Affairs and Fine Arts Department are to renovate old temple during 20-30 year ago.
This statue made of Bronze and The Bronze of this quality are very hard to find these days. This is a perfect of Thai ' AYUTTHAYA ART ' and this period is so popular today. You Can see the items has been gorgeous smooth patina along the surface of the items. Please look close up on my more picture attention to the fine detail. Looks great in any asian collection.
