1:200 scale metal diecast model of the Armstrong Whitworth AW.650 Argosy--a most unusual aircraft ahead of its time--by Western Models in British European Airways (BEA) markings. The Argosy was a four-engine transport aircraft powered by four Rolls-Royce Dart 526 turboprops. BEA's Argosy operations always lost money, and the last of the type flew with the airline in April 1970. The hump is characteristic of the 747, and the twin tail design makes this aircraft very unique. Very detailed metal diecast model goes well with other 1:200 models by Herpa, Inflight 200, Phoenix, Hogan, and Starjets. Features realistic landing gear with rubber tires and detailed printed graphics and spinning metal fan blades with fine detail.
