This is obviously not "gem" Tanzanite, or the price would have several more 0's............ A bright, colorful addition to any cabinet! Tanzanite is a variety of Zoisite, a calcium aluminum silicate, with a formula of Ca 2Al 3Si 3O 12 (OH). The name is from it's type locality, Tanzania. Tanzanite is used as a gemstone.
