You are bidding on an almost flawless daguerreotype of a tinted 1/6 plate professional male. It could be law books on the pillar beside him. This image has a lot of clarity and contrast. T is a tiny bit if tarnish, but it does not detract from the image. It is housed in a gutta percha case that is in excellent condition with only one small crack. The mat, guild and pillow are pretty close to perfect. This case is in the Nineteenth Century Photographic Cases and Wall Frames Book, by Paul K. Berg. Item: 1-99 called: Mother embracing child 2, rated scarce. This is a One-Of-A-Kind heirloom of History, which is certain to be a prized addition to any Photography Collection.
