DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to offer you this all bisque German doll incised what looks like "193/487", I have shown several photos, the numbers are very tiny so please view the photos. Reference shows similar dolls made in Germany from 1880s to 1920. Measures 3-1/2" tall this doll is all bisque being wire clip jointed at the shoulders and legs. The number "8-1/2" incised on each inner upper leg. The upper inner arms also incised with a number. She has painted molded black booties, blue ribbed stockings. Great little face with painted blue eyes, dark brows and closed molded mouth, rosy cheeks and double chin, an "adorable" little face. Long blonde wig secure on a pate on her head. Doll shows some light overall wear for being 100 or so years old but all together intact. Wears hand made print dress with apron. I have taken plenty of photos.
