Up for your consideration is a 9 1/2" hand painted German Floral Chocolate Pot with two matching Cups and Saucers. This Chocolate Pot set is painted with Derp Pink, Yellow, White and Lavender Florals of Mums and Carnations with green foliage and stems. The Florals are Lifelike as they are accented with deeper shades of Pink, Yellow and White to almost give a 3-D effect. The background colors are Deep Pink, to a Lighter Pink to a White. The top of the Pot and trim of the Saucers are Gold Guilded. The upper portion of the Pot, the insides of the Saucers abd the backs of both Cups are trimmed in Gold scroll work. The Gold around the handle on the Pot, both Cups and Pot Lid show signs of ware from use and age and there are some missing paint spots on the Cups and Saucers from stacking. The two Cups are 2 5/8" high and the Saucers are 4 7/8" wide. As shown in photo #11 the Chocolate Pot bares the Three Crowns China Germany overerglaze blue makers mark. Research of the mark reveals the company was introduced by the Unger & Schilde Company of Roschuetz, Thuringia Germany for the U.S. distributor Jon H. Roth. The mark was used between 1909 - 1916. This elegant Chocolate Pot set is considered to be in Very Good antique condition considering it is around 100 years old and has no chips, cracks, repairs, or grazing noted. Considering the ware noted above I have adjusted the price accordingly. This set would be the perfect Mother's Day gift or for that someone special who has a flare for Mums or Carnations or Bright Florals. A nice addition to the collector of Fine Germany Porcelain. Seller will pay shipping and insurance cost and uses the U.S.P.S. for shipment. No international bidders on this item.
