Land patent for Hans Wilson in Steubenville, Ohio. Signed by Jefferson as President, counter-signed by Madison as Secretary of State. Jefferson signature faded but intact & legible; Madison signature slightly faded. 20th-century Stark County Ohio records ink stamp on verso. Consigned by a direct descendant of Hans Wilson. Jefferson, Thomas (1743-1826), 3rd President of The United States; Madison, James (1751-1836), 4th President of The United States.
