Many years ago, I owned and operated a general line antique shop. Recently, I uncovered some items I had "put away" when the shop closed its doors. I have no reason to keep any of these things, so I'm offering them to any interested party. Over the years, as I was collecting oil lamps, I would set the best one's aside. The "Best" meaning, working condition, free of dents, stress cracks and corrosion. Good factory nickel was also high on the list. I have several of these lamps to list on E-Bay. The lamp listed came from that collection. Rod L'Italien Note: Over the years I`ve handled hundreds of lamps and in that time frame, I became accustom to the different manufactures and their lamp functions. I can generally tell by inspecting the lamps exterior whether the solder joints are tight, if t`s any corrosion, damage or stress cracks. I can also see if t`s a wick chase and other necessary parts to have it work in oil. I can assume that the lamp is sound, but I can`t look at the lamps interior. Most of the lamps that I list on E-Bay are well over 100 years old, so I could not possibly guarantee that they will hold oil now or in the future, or that it will burn oil as it did when new.
