First of all, I wish to make it clear that I have no knowledge of this product so the information I am stating, I gleamed from researching. I am selling these reel to reel tapes for a dear friend. They have been & are presently stored in a climate controlled building & they have had no exposure to sunlight. The person that bought these tapes new, went into an Assisted Living Home, & can no longer use them. This person worked for Gibson Guitar Company in Michigan for many years & upon retirement, returned to the area w they grew up. They established a repair shop for musical instruments (major fiddle, mandolin & guitar as these are the instruments he played). He also did some recording with some of the very famous stars in these fields. My friend may decide to sell some of the tapes that he recorded with these folks as we see how all of this goes. Please watch my future auctions as I will be listing other items which may be rare or hard to find......I am kind of out of my league , but will try. This auction is for 10 reels of Ampex 674, 1/4" by 2400 feet of blank tape on 7" clear reels. That's twice as much record & playback time on each reel compared to regular length Ampex 631.
