On this auction we have 10 black & white real photo postcards from Adel, Iowa. All are in great condition and none have been sent. RACCOON RIVER NEW HIGH SCHOOL DOWNTOWN ST. Most are from towns in the states of, Iowa , Minnesota , Nebraska and South Dakota . Be sure and watch for postcards from your town, as we will be listing these probably for weeks and weeks to come. The majority of these are from the 1940's, 50s and 60s. These were acquired from a gentleman that had them stored away in his basement for the last twenty five years. He rescued these postcards when Co-mo Photo of Mason City, Iowa, was going to throw them in the dump. When we list the postcards as "sample" this means they are marked on the back of card either; SAMPLE from CO-MO PHOTO CO. MASON CITY, IOWA or the L.L. COOK COMPANY MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN. These were salesmen's samples and are rare and very collectable in any field of antiques. All of the items you see listed in my auctions are fresh stuff, not from shops and auctions.
