DESCRIPTION Beautiful Cooperfish longboard up for auction! I’m selling my most prized surfboard and possession – an absolutely beautiful 10' Cooperfish “Nose Devil” model longboard. These surfboards are true masterpieces and owning one has been a real privilege. Gene Cooper is a master shaper/surfer based in the Ventura area and he only shapes a limited quantity of surfboards each year. His expertise of the craft is reflected in every surfboard. All guests who see the board in my house compliment it – surfers and non-surfers alike. It’s a great addition to any collection - whether you're just starting your collection or have hundreds of boards. I bought the board about three years ago from the original owner in San Diego. He only surfed it a couple times before selling the board to me. It seemed like he just wanted to try the board out, but he never had any intention of making it his everyday, go-to surfboard. I’ve never surfed on it and it’s only served as a wall hanger since I purchased it. The board is numbered GC1712 and archived on the Cooperfish website ( /customerarchive.html ). The exact dimensions of the board are 10' x 23'' x 3''. The color is a vibrant yellow on the deck with green rails and a swirl paint job on the bottom. The bottom looks like peacock feather colors swirled as noted on the Cooperfish website, making it very rare. Going through his archives, I only saw a couple boards with this type of paint/glass job. The wood stringer is extra thick and the large Cooperfish logo is about 1/3 the distance of the board from the tail. CONDITION This board is in impeccable shape. As mentioned, I’ve never surfed on it and it’s only served as a wall hanger since I bought it from the original owner. He surfed it a handful of times but treated it as a collector’s item as well. There are a few very minor scratches that can probably easily be polished out. Otherwise there are no dings or blemishes. I’d say the board is very close to perfect condition (9/10). LOGISTICS Due to the size and condition of the board, I don’t feel comfortable shipping it. I live in Venice, California and regularly surf throughout the southern California region – so I’d be happy to deliver it to the Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego areas. Preferably, you can just pick it up at my house. Let me know if you’d like me to take additional pictures of specific areas of the board, and I’ll try to accommodate your request.
