The selection you receive may vary from the scan, which shows an assortment of ration cards, stamps and strips in our collection. Almost every piece is one-of-a-kind!!! WARTIME GERMAN FOOD STAMPS!!! Ancillary to our collecting German currency, coins, stamps, bonds, etc. we have been accumulating German ration cards and tickets for over 20 years. Within our holdings is a very old collection that was formed in the 1940's and 1950's!!! This listing consists of a selection of 10 or more different Ration Cards, Tickets, Stubs, or Strips that, for the most part, were issued during or in the immediate aftermath of both World Wars!! Many are dated accordingly. They were issued by German National, State or Municipal Government Agencies whose seals may still be present. The "unissued" cards are usually mint, while the issued (i.e. used or filled in) ones may show signs of age and handling including sections that were cut out and redeemed, but all printing is clearly legible. Foodstuffs covered include bread, meat, fish, potatoes, eggs, flour, sugar, marmelade, butter, soap, lard, and vegetables. T may also be tobacco, a very prized wartime commodity.
