Just one of 12 of these rare 19th century French plates we've listed this week! (be sure to check out the others!) A 19th century French marionette plate. The Guignol Theatre. The Choisy-le-Roi faience factory produced French majolica from 1860 until 1910. The "H.B." stands for either Hippolyte Boulenger the director of pottery or for designers Hautin & Boulanger. The factory's work was some of the most delicate produced in France. 8" across. Wonderful condition (as pictured) aged with no flaws to report.
