As of 3-29-13 the value of $15 US in pennies or 1500 pennies is $33.62 in metal value (95% copper and 5% zinc). This auction is for all 95% copper pennies total quantity of 10 lbs. If they are the 1982 pennies they have been weighed as the newer zinc pennies weigh 2.5 grams and the 95% copper penny's weigh 3.11 grams.
