These are 20 total ft of LGB G-Scale track with two one-foot pieces connected by screws. This totals to ten sections. These have been used outdoors and have been outside for up to 20 years. I have been running trains on these for that entire time and they're in good shape. I use a resistance solder on all my track and I left most of the wires connected. You will see in the second picture what to expect each end of each section (some wires are black and white). Resistance solder is the reason I am able to run trains outside without any continuity problems. If you want, you can just strip the end of each wire and solder each section up if you put these outside. Some of the middle sections I cut the wires and some I did not. When I used the resistance solder, I sanded down each area where I connected them, so the ties are slightly scraped at each end. These scrap marks are hard to see but you may be able to see them in the second picture. They do have some rail clips missing but most are there and all of the railroad ties are there. I cleaned the rails with my cleaning engine and sprayed them with my power washer. However, they still may have some dirt and dust on them. There is a piece (one foot pice) that has the railroad ties not locked in on one half of it and a few have a tie or two not locked onto the rails. They seem to not be read more
