These comics have been well-read, but are still in pretty good shape. Creases on the covers, some slightly bent corners, what you expect from comics of this age. If you collect Marvel 30¢ Variants, this lot is for you! Especially if you don’t have some of these issues, great to have until you can find another, better copy. But you may really like these! Cover price 30¢ Marvel 30¢ Variant History According to an Internet site dealing specifically with Marvel 30¢ Variants, there is some uncertainty about the general frequency in which 30¢ variants occurred. Some have estimated than up to 5% of an issue were variants, while others have contended that only 1% or less were. The reality is that there is probably not a set percentage across titles, or even across issues within a title. There are significant regional differences in scarcity. Some of the 30¢ Variants are conspicuous because the price appears either in the "Still only 25¢" starbust, or even the strange circle and large square price and date logos Marvel used in August 1976. However, many 30¢ Variants appear identical to the regular issues and have the typical double price and month boxes. 30¢ is the cover price, but the publisher’s info on the bottom of the first page shows 25¢. read more
