Have an friend or relative who is in law enforcement, police or other legal work? Great gift item for a historian, attorney or law enforcement officer's wall! This is an ORIGINAL 10 Most Wanted announcement sent to Police Departments for the infamous serial killer, "Ted Bundy," and two others who were added to the list in February 1978. Along with Bundy were Gary Ronald Warren (Rape, Burglary and Armed Robbery), and William David Smith (Murder, Bank Robbery and Parole Violation). Bundy was finally executed in Florida's electric chair, but e ven today, it is unknown how many young women this maniac killed, although he did admit to 30! Warren and Smith were both captured shortly after being added to the 10 Most Wanted List. These FBI/Department of Justice documents bear the FBI/DOJ brand and were sent to Law Enforcement Agencies. This one is from Fort Belvoir and was received by the Office of the Provost Marshal in February of 1978. These announcements were read to Military Police during their pre-shift Guard Mounts (inspection and briefing). Other Wanted Posters of this notoriety have gone for $250 or more! Our low starting price has no reserve! INDLUDED IN THIS AUCTION 1. Original FBI 10 Most Wanted photo summary, dated February 10, 1978 * 2. Original FBI Coversheet summary announcing Smith, Warren and Bundy being added to replace captured criminals. 3. Original FBI News Release with expanded summary, dated/time February 10, 1978 - 6:00 A.M. EST 4. THREE (3) individual FUGITIVE NEWS RELEASES for each - Smith, Warren and Bundy. Bundy's is two FULL pages of descriptive data! 5. "60 Second Spot Announcements" for Smith and Warren. (Bundy's crime data was too long to fit a 60 second Spot Announcement.) * The photo summary includes Katherine Ann Power, the slug from 1970 who helped rob and set fire to the National Guard Armory in Newburyport, Massachusetts (20 Sep) causing over $150,000 in damages. The group then robbed a bank in Brighton, Massachusets (23 Sep) murdering a police officer in the process. Powers was in hiding in hippy communes in the early 70's, eventually moving to Oregon in 1979. She surrendered in 1993 and was sentenced to 8 to 12 years in prison and has since been released on 14 years parole. Powers' motives for the robberies was to help fund the Black Panthers to overthrow the U.S. Government. BONUS: Actual Wanted Poster of Smith and Warren on legal sized, heavy poster stock.
