Up for auction are 10 factory boxed USA PHILLIPS MADE JAN spec (Joint Army Navy) 12AX7WA preamp tubes! Most audiophiles and musicians agree, Sylvania made some of the best sounding tubes in the USA during the Golden Era of US tube manufacturing, and these desirable SMALL THIN GRAY PLATE versions were the best from the last days of the US factory. These are a popular choice of both McIntosh and Fender guitar amps. The "WA" is the highest rating for a Military spec tube, t were no better made (or more expensive!) tubes in the world. These special military grade "WA" types have thick "doubled" mica spacers and were also are pumped down to a higher vacuum so they last longer and do not rattle apart in transportation.
