For sale is my set of Matryoshka dolls that I bought in St Petersburg at a street market outside church of the spilled blood in 2006. There are 10 pieces in the set depicting the Romanov dynasty from 1613 to 1917. Michael, Peter the Great, Elizabeth, Catherine the great, Paul, Peter the 2nd, Alexander the 1st, Nicholas the 1st, Alexander the 2nd, Alexander the 3rd, Nicholas the 2nd. The largest doll has the crest on the rear with the years of reign on it. Each of the other dolls have only names and years. Please note that these are in Russian. The writing appears to be transfers. They are good quality and have been looked after well. just noticed it says no returns - I accept returns on this item but cannot change as it has it's maiden bid PLEASE NOTE I have just recalled that the nesting dolls were not purchased at the church of the spilled blood. Instead it was in the Palace gift shop This is signed - see additional photo .
