More postcards from Uncle Billy's travels during the 1920's. All of these postcards are unused and are in great condition. They are all colorized images. I'll describe them starting with the second photo of 5 cards, showing the orange sky in the center card. The descriptions are of the cards starting on the top left and going clockwise: "Three Tunnels in Grand Canon of the Feather River, Western Pacific Railway" - shows tunnels and train in distance. "On the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway, Missouri River Bridge at Mobridge, S. Dak." - shows train coming off bridge. "W three states meet, Harper's Ferry, West Virginia" - shows river valley with railroad bridges. "'The Elephant's Head,' near Palisade, Nevada, Humbold River, Western Pacific Railway" - shows train riding through unique landscape. (Center card) "Western Pacific crossing Southern end of the Great Salt Lake, Black Rock at right, Stansbury Mountains in the Distance"The third photo shows 5 cards and has a long steel bridge depicted as the center card. Starting on the top left, going clockwise... "Traveling through the Bitter Root Mountains, Montana" - shows electric train riding along mountainside. "C.M. & St. P. Depot, Aberdeen, S.D." - shows large brick station with steam train approaching. "On the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway, One of many graceful curves, Montana Canyon" - shows electric train in canyon. "Eagle Nest Tunnel, Montana" - appears to also be Milwaukee Road heritage, steam train on bridge. (Center card) "Pennsylvania R.R. Bridge, 6000 feet long over Susquehanna River, between Wrightsville, PA and Columbia PA."I'm starting the auction with a low bid and no reserve because I just want these items to go to a good home.
