This auction is for 10 WWII Ration books. Most of these have stamps in them. Some are printed with a tank, carrier, plane, gunner. Some stamps are "spare," or have pictured the Statue of Liberty torch. Some have a shaft of wheat and some are marked coffee and a few have a bushel of fruit. In one book, t are two stamps stapled inside that are marked "Special Shoe Stamp." Also included is a form that reads: "We must Get along with Less Sugar this year because..." and it lists the reasons. T is a "Mileage Rationing Record" for a 1940 Chevrolet. T is also a "Tire Inspection Record" and Basic Mileage Ration stamps. The last two items include a holder for the books and a "Tire Inspection Record Gas Ration Book Holder." This items give a little glimpse of what life was like in the US during WW II.
