100 Pc. Antique C. FieldHaviland Limoges China Dinner Set Item Description: Up for auction is a stunning and rare set of antique Haviland Limoges china. The set offered consists of 100 original pieces including many of the more rare serving pieces. The base of nearly every piece is marked with the Ch Field Haviland Limoges trademark and the CFH/GDM green mark which dates this set back to between 1882-1890. The CFH stands for Charles Field Haviland and the GDM stands for Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Morel. The set features beautiful purple wildflowers and white daisies among a bunch of stems and leaves which are transfer printed and then hand colored in paint. I have been unsuccessful in locating the exact name of this pattern. Each piece has a bright white background with some subtle details in the blank and the handles have a mesh patterns in gold. I have included a sample of photographs to represent the set. The table setting also does not include every piece because they would not all fit on the table. All of the pieces are extremely clean and most have no chips, cracks, or broken areas. The white porcelain is extremely bright and the transfer design and painted details look magnificent with some loss to the gold mesh designs on the handles. The glaze is very shiny with no crazing. I am guessing this set was more for display than use because of how clean it is and its condition. Please be sure to check out my other auctions for more great items!
