Please consider this fine set of Mission Oak or Arts and Crafts furniture. This set belonged to my great aunt and I have had it for about 20 years. It was manufactured by the W. H. Gunlocke Chair Co., Wayland, NY. Please see the photo of the label that is attached to one of the corner braces under the chair. My research shows that the Gunlocke Company started in 1902 and in 1920 they discontinued making household furniture so they could concentrate on corporate furniture. They became well known for their office chairs that have been used by presidents. The company continues to this day. Knowing this and when my great aunt set up housekeeping, I believe these chairs date to about 1905 to 1915. A century old, give or take! Auction is for all 3 chairs. Love seat measures 49" wide x 26" deep x 38" high.Chair is 27" wide x 26" deep x 38" high.Rocker is 27" wide x 31" deep x 38" high.All seats are about 18" high at the front edge. The uprights measures 1-3/4" square. The arms are a full 4" wide x 1" thick. Everything is solid oak. The finish is completely original, never refinished. I replaced the original leather seats when I first obtained these chairs. They were professionally covered in a fabric. I kept the original leather which you can use it to pattern new coverings of your choice. See the photo. The cane back on the rocker had read more
