For auction from a wonderful estate in upscale Washington DC is this 10K GOLD VICTORIAN LION OLD MINE DIAMOND 7.25" BRACELETThis is a lovely solid 10k yellow gold lion bracelet. The focus of this bracelet is obviously the centerpiece lion face. fantastic high-relief lion is set with a 1/8" (.10carat) old mine cut diamond in the mouth, and ruby cabochon eyes. He sits in the center of six round discs, each with a gypsy-set old mine or rose cut diamond in the center of an engraved star. The rest of the bracelet consists of oval gold links. The two located closest to the centerpiece are set with diamonds--the others are brushed gold. The gold in this bracelet is a beautiful rich yellow color--this looks spectacular on the wrist!The diamonds total approximately 1/2 carat. There are two diamonds that have chips, that can be seen only with a loupe--but given the old-cut nature of these stones, a small chip in a diamond is not noticeable at all and is almost to be expected from a piece well over 100 years old. The centerpiece is 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" in diameter. The oval links are 5/8" wide. This closes with a hidden tongue and box closure, and there's a safety chain for added security. It will fit up to a 7 1/4" wrist.Overall, other than the two chipped diamonds, this bracelet is in pristine condition.
