Manufacturers Info.FRANCIS NEWTON & SONSPortobello Works, Sheffieldca. 1838 - 1920 A to Z of Razor Manufacturers Great list of German Makers This cut throat razor has a Hollow ground blade of 11/16”.It has thin cream xxx scales with a lead spacer.Engraved on the tang are the words “ Francis Newton. Sheffield ”On the blade is “AW Famous High Speed Steels AWP” On the reverse is “Sir W. G. Armstrong. Whitworth & Co Ltd Openshaw Manchester” Condition. Case. Not original & used for Royal mail packaging regulations. Razor . I have Cleaned the razor & it has left some pitting on the tang, spine & blade. The wear is light. There are no chips or cracks in the blade & the scales are fine. Not shave ready, Requires Honing, Suitable for a novice.. The razor has been Sterilized using Barbiside.
