11" CHELSEA SHIPS CLOCK TIME & STRIKE HUGE HEAVY CASE Description: You are bidding on a Chelsea Ships Clock 8 Day Time and Strike in excellent working condition. The serial number on the movement 531650 dates it to around 1947-48 and it has been recently cleaned and lubricated. It is an 8 Day Time and Strike Movement that sounds on the half hour once, and on the hours counting the number of hours. I am not sure what is original to this clock or not, but I do know the dial is a replacement and the hour hand has had work done to it. T look to be extra holes in the back of the case as well. The heavy copper or brass case has a push button on the side to open the bezel. It is numbered on the inside with 0306 it looks like. It comes with a homemade mahogany wooden base to display it with. Shipping will be costly due to the weight of this large heavy metal case. It comes with a winding key. Case measures approx. 11"Diameter x 4"Deep. Flat-Rate Shipping applies ONLY to the Lower 48 U.S., Outside of this region will have a different rate so please inquire prior to auctions end for quote. I have around 100 clocks consisting of wall,mantel,cuckoo,novelty and parts clocks as well as box loads of parts to sort through in the next few weeks fresh from local estates in the area. All items will be sold AS-IS and described to the best of my ability with pictures to help describe what you are bidding on.
