Entertain in style this Holiday Season with this beautiful antique set of 11 Hawkes Crystal Shrimp Cocktail Chillers with inserts. Presented in the elegant 9-2 pattern, this particular set was originally purchased used from an elderly woman in the 1950's and is in excellent condition. the eleven bowls have no cracks, chips or clouding. The pedestals of the bowls are each etched with a tiny HAWKES. I apoligize for not being able to photograph the HAWKES etching because it is so small. I assure you they are t and that these are the real thing. The bowls measure 4 3/8" tall and 5 3/8" diameter at the widest point on the top. The bowls feature the HAWKES 9-2 pattern with a flower and flowing scroll around the top and fine grooved strips with double X's around the bottom (see picture). I was told that these were shrimp cocktail chillers but they make colorful fruit serving bowls as well! The inserts appear to be crystal Cordials that measure 2 7/8" tall and 3 1/2 in diameter. The inserts do not have any markings and are slightly grayish on the rim compared to the bowls, tfore I do not believe that they are original. 5 of the inserts have small chips on thier pedestals and 3 others have small chips on the rim.
