is a neat old piece of history. These mill stones were used in the local mills to grind the corn or wheat into flour or cornmeal. This one is smaller than some and the middle is shaped into a slight V pattern. It would have been used for smaller jobs that were brought into the mill. It is made of Indiana Limestone and does have the square hole that was cut out by the stone mason to allow it to fit on the metal shafts. It weighs close to 25 pds.
