Item Description: This is a COMPLETE set of 12 beautiful Imperial Glass collector plates issued one each year (1970-1981), all but one in their original foil-covered boxes. These carnival-glass style plates represent the verses from "The 12 Days of Christmas" carol, beginning with #1, a Partridge in a Pear Tree (1970), #2 Two Turtle Doves (1971), #3 Three French Hens (1972), and so on. The 12 iridescent, heavy glass plates appear unused and in perfect condition. Eleven box lids are stamped inside "Handcrafted by Imperial Glass Corporation, Bellaire, Ohio." Each plate in this limited-edition series is a different color. Each features a raised central motif surrounded by raised lettering reflecting the corresponding verse, encircled by a scalloped edge of entwined figures from the famous Christmas carol.
