Ready to add to your growing collection of great stoneware is this wonderful 12 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by T. F. REPPERT, EAGLE POTTERY, GREENSBORO, PA. Made between 1884 and 1890 when Reppert ran his pottery independently of Williams, this beauty features the a Huge Federal Style Eagle with Shield. The Eagle clutches 3 arrows in each claw. He is in a circle composed at the top of the company name underscored by 7 stars and the company location at the bottom. T are florals in all four corners of the center label. Three freehand stripes and vining accent the top and freehand capacity mark accents and a stripe accent the bottom. Stands 21.5" tall. Fair Condition . Some overglazing on the lower left front in the making. A 6" surface-only line by the right wing. A very tight spider on the bottom (the dark spots in the closeup). The jar was hit on the back creating a 1/4" through hole and 4 lines. 1) goes up 8" and stops under the rim. 2) goes left 9" and stops under the right handle. 3) goes right 15" and stops under the right handle. 4) goes down 5". These have been sealed and the jar is very solid and will ship just fine. No rim or handle chips. A 12 Gallon Reppert Jar with Eagle and Stars in Fair Condition. Sold with No Reserve!
