I don't know much about these. I bought an old suitcase at a flea market and when I opened it at home, these along with 6 other envelopes of photos were in it. T were also Chinese art books as well which all dated 1940 so I think these are around 1940 as well. T was a scrap of paper with a Major's name on it so these may have been his. This auction is for 12 black and white souvineer real photograph cards 21'2Tall x 4" wide produced by Jung Chou Photographic studios. These are not postcards. This set is titled The Forbidden City Peiping (Peking) and comes with original envelope. One photo is a littled discolored but all images are good. They are slightly bowed from being in the envelope all these years but t are no stains, rips or tears. The envelope says they all have English subtitles on the back but in reality only 7 do. The 7 have purple letters in both English and Chinese stamped on the back identifying that photo. The 7 photos are : Central Hall, Fish Bowl, Incense burn, the Wen Hwa Civil Officer Mail Hall (main is spelled mian), The Ten-an-men Ten-an ga(?), Entrance to Throne Hall, The Hsl - Hua-men Holy..? The other 5 are buildings I can't identify. All in all a great set and a great glimpse at China from a bygone era. Because I don't know much about them, I will give a full refund, if notified in 3 days of receipt that you
