All except one are mounted (not add) to two album pages. The photos scenes include... Picture No.1a(left) - Close-Up shot of two men behind the counter of a store carrying "Magazines and Papers", also selling KODAK film Picture No. 1b (right) Local worker at a train switch Picture No. 2 is a general shot of all the pictures Picture No. 3 is basically an overview of one of the photo pages, The photo on the top left is of The Armstrong Co., as well as all the others just different people and views Picture No.4 - Includes, again the Armstrong Co. with multiple people in front of the shop, it also includes the train switch, the Depot Taxi and just a shot of the locals/visitors Picture No. 5 is a close up of the Armstrong Co. Picture No.6 Close-ups, Picture No. 7 - The Depot Taxi (Cabbie and taxi) - The Taxi reads " Depot Taxi - Phone 215" in the background of this photo you can see a " ...K Cafeteria" (advertising steaks, chops, homemade pies) - Also in this photo...Old Orchard Pier with arrow Movies Indoor and Open Air...- a sign for Paul's Garage and Hopkins Cabins Picture No. 8 Four attendants behind the counter at a diner/soda fountain...reading the signs above one can tell they are offering Ice Cream Sodas, Egg Shakes, Malted Milk, Frappes for .15 and Fresh Fruit Drinks for .10 I am sure t is more to read and research in this lot of photos. They are quite clear and a wonderful glimpse into the "local scene" of Old Orchard Beach in the 1940's. One thing is for certain...the photos are one of a kind!!!
