Less than 1 1/2 ounces of gold will purchase this Reverse Helix Trommel which will give you piece of mind that you have one of the best and most successful pieces of equipment ever manufactured for placer gold recovery. T are a couple of these now being used in the field and the comments we received show these excel and much better than conventional techniques for getting the gold. One of the users told us that last week he used this trommel while his buddies used a highbanker and they took turns shoveling which means they moved more dirt. By himself he still found more gold and they were all digging from the exact same spot. So two against one and he still won using this Reverse Helix Trommel. The following day they scrapped the highbanker and just used this trommel. We start off using a Solid Steel Drum and painstakingly handweld 26 feet of ahelix pattern that will take the heavies like gold and black sand and bring them upstream against gravity and water flow to deposit them into a bucket at the head of this trommel. No sluice box is required to get gold with a Reverse Helix Trommel Works off the Archimedes Screw Principal and Very Effective at getting the Gold It consists of a 12" diameter steel tube. Inside is 26 feet of 1/4" helix coil that is painstaking heated and held into place using a CNC machined jig then hand welded. No Plastic Coils these are Metal.System is driven by a 12 volt motor which will run off a car battery. Also, (Not Shown) it includes two bilge pumps which are 1000 gph (gallons per hour) and 500 gph models. These also run off a 12 volt power supply like a car battery. The barrel will turn at just over 20 rpm. So everything is included to run the system except a 12 volt battery which can be purchased at your local auto store.We have ran material including concentrates through this Reverse Helix Trommel and it works even better than we expected. Using concentrates we found that very small flake and flour gold was collected at the top of the unit. You can vary the pitch of the trommel to collect high grade material or tilt it slight higher which will allow greater throughput and still capture most of the gold. This allows you to fine tune for your gold recovery to go after mainly larger picker sized gold or if you want to collect very fine and flour gold materials. Another unique feature is the trommel will dismantle into three pieces which are: 1. Frame 2. Tube 3. Hopper This allows for easy transport so it will fit into a smaller vehicle than most trommels this size which require a truck or big SUV to haul it around. This trommel only takes about 3 minutes to assemble using the included quick disconnect system. Also, it makes it a lot easier to ship since it can be put into three separate boxes.
