Up for bid is a 1974 Franklin Mint Sterling Silver Proof Set of 12 medals . Each medal bears an origional work of art by Norman Rockwell interpreting one of Robert Frost's poems. The medals are very nice with great silver color but were hard to get a good picture of because of reflections. The set comes in a 12 X 16 &3 inches deluxe collector's case fitted with a hard wood display frame which can be displayed either by converting the case into a special display easel or by detaching the display frame and hanging it on the wall. According to the writing on the envelope the cost was $25 per silver medal a total of $300.00 for the set plus holder and frame. T is also a small book that has a picture of each medal and the poem it goes with as well. The poems are as follows: After Apple-Picking, A Mood Apart, A Time to Walk, Birches, Dust to Snow, Going For Water, Mending Wall, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, The Gift Outright, The Grindstone, The Pasture and The Road Not Taken. The medals are 1 & 3 inches wide. T is a slight musty smell from being in storage. This would be a great addition to any collection. S&H is $8.00 via Priority mail. I am also listing a few other silver sets if you are interested.
