Up for auction is a lot of 120+ postcards featuring motels (mostly) and hotels 1940s-50s (a few from the 1960s, it appears). Almost all of the cards are postally unused, some were mailed with some fun messages. A good many of the cards advertise motels that probably no longer exist, small motels from even smaller towns, many have vintage cars parked out front, some of the places look really dumpy or odd...some are traditional big building hotels, some have pools, some have cafes attached. Most are chrome type, in excellent condition, a few have rubs on edges or minor creases. T are a few duplicates and a few from Canada, Mexico and Bermuda, but 95% are US.
