Up for auction is your chance to own a rare and seldom seen flatware set of "Meadow rose" by the Watson Sterling Company . This set is monogram free and is in fantastic condition. "Meadow Rose" was first introduced in 1907. This beautiful flatware set is definitely by WATSON and not by Wallace. The Watson Sterling Company no longer exists. The "W in a Shield" stamp is for Watson. The Watson company was bought out by Wallace in 1956. This set is rare, but have no fear, because t are enough pieces for 16 place settings . This beautiful flatware set consist of the following:16-Dinner Forks / 7-1/4" long16-Salad Forks / 6-1/4" long16-French Hollow Dinner Knives16-Cream Soup Spoons / 6-1/4" long16-Teaspoons / 5-7/8" long16-Extra Teaspoons / 5-7/8" long (one is damaged by disposal & 8 are by Wallace)8-Hollow Butter Spreaders / 6" long8-Hollow Butter Spreaders (fancy blade) / 6" long4-Serving Spoons / 8-3/8" long2-Gravy Ladles / 6" long2-Sugar Spoons / 5-1/2" long2-Small Cold Meat Forks / 8" long1- Infant Feeding Spoon / 4-1/2" long1-Hollow Master Butter (fancy blade)/ 6" long1-Hollow Master Butter / 6" long1-Serving Fork, Ornate (by Holmes and Edwards) / 7-7/8"2-Anti-tarnish wooden casesTo replace this set from "Replacements", etc. would cost $4,500 to $5000.
