You are bidding on a limited edition bi-centennial commemorative knife set. This is the "THIRTEEN COLONY SERIES". This set was featured on the cover of "THE NATIONAL KNIFE COLLECTOR" magazine, June/July 1977 issue. I have included a picture of the magazine. If you win the bidding I will send you the magazine free along with the knife collection. The set consists of one knife for each of the 13 colonies plus one large knife for the United States. They are all mounted in a solid walnut display case. The 13 small knives consist of four different styles and three different alloy types in the metal handles. These knives are in mint condition. T is no rust or damage of any kind. They have never been sharpened or even polished. They are exactly as they came from the manufacturer. I bought them in 1977. I oiled them lightly one time and kept them in the display case in a conditioned environment ever since. The large knife has the SCHRADE name stamped on the blade. The small knives have the blades stamped "LIMITED EDITION" with an emblem resembling a bird or eagle. All the knives have blades etched with "LIMITED EDITION OF 3000" and a picture of an eagle with a "THIRTEEN COLONIES" banner. The small knives also have "USA" stamped on a blade. The large knife has a genuine stag handle. Each knife has the number "0274" on the handle. read more
